- O-Ring
- Rubber ring with round cross-sections designed to create fluid or mechanical seals.
- Ogee, Slab
- Type of slab or countertop edge with an “S” shaped profile. (See Slab)
- Olibanum
- Tree grown only in South Arabia and Somalia whose aromatic resin is used as incense and to stop bleeding following shaving.
- One-Way Diverter
- Item that diverts water delivery between two fittings components such as a showerhead and handshower. (See Fittings, Showerhead, Handshower)
- Opalescent
- Surface’s reflection of an iridescent light.
- Opaque
- Surface’s imperviousness to the rays of light. The glaze color does not allow light to penetrate, but reflects off the surface, giving the glaze a solid, more uniform appearance as compared to a translucent glaze. Matte glazes are, by nature, opaque. (See Glaze, Matte, Surfaces)
