- Device that controls the movement of water through pipes or other passages by opening or closing ports and channels.
- Valve Body
- Part that houses the valve cartridges. Valves that are visible outside the wall or deck are considered trim.
- Vanity

- Variation
- Differences in color, veining, background, tone, and size that results from the material being a natural product.
- Vase

- Style of lavatory that installs on the counter or partially into the counter. The portion of the fixture rising above the counter has a finished exterior. (See Lavatory)

- Oil from the Caribbean that functions as a balancing tonic to the nervous system.
- Viscose
- The most common type of rayon.
- Vitamin E Acetate
- Natural anti-oxidant that promotes healthy circulation and prevents dryness. (See anti-oxidant)
- Vitreous China
- A high fired ceramic product used in the manufacturing of fixtures. This high-gloss chinaware has extremely low absorption rates, perfect for the bathroom, where there are high levels of bacteria which could penetrate the ceramic surface. (See Bidet, Fixture, Watercloset)
- Voltage
- Rate at which energy is drawn from a source that produces a flow of electricity in a circuit; expressed in volts.
- Volume Control
- Control that provides the ability to regulate the rate at which water is released from the showerhead. (See Showerhead)
