Bond
Statement-Making Modern
Created in partnership with Gachot Studios, Bond represents a level of soul and artistry that's rarely found in modern bath design. Highly versatile, the collection inhabits the full range of modern style, from the austerity of disciplined minimalism to the relaxed appeal of warm contemporary.
Finding Inspiration
Bond draws upon the Aesthetic Movement of the late 19th century, rare vintage lighters and modern industrial design. The result: a range of elements that are highly distinctive and streamlined for modern use. Particularly exciting is the application of guilloche, a centuries-old engraving technique, in the Bond components. It’s practiced by only a handful of highly skilled artisans today, positioning this collection as a unique and rarified experience.
“These are investment pieces with longevity and heritage. Whatever the trends are, these will transcend them.”
- John Gachot
Three Distinctive Series
Bond fittings are grouped in distinct series—each defined by ever-more specialized details and tied to a common base silhouette. All the design possibilities are carefully curated to ensure a timelessly beautiful result.
Solo
A balance of form and function in its purest sense. Streamlined and minimalist with clean, crisp edges, Solo is the only Bond series that has slightly curved lever handles, along with the ability to be made in all Waterworks special-order metal finishes.
SHOP BOND SOLO SERIESTandem
The Tandem series introduces two new design elements: mixed metals (dark nickel combined with brass and nickel finishes) and linear guilloche etching. Each guilloche lever is detailed with 80 hand-applied lines, and each knob with 240 lines, for a precise, luxurious look and feel.
SHOP BOND TANDEM SERIESUnion
Union presents three additional design elements: an intricate guilloche links pattern; guilloche lines combined with white or black enamel; or pinstripe, a technique in which a black enamel handle is treated with guilloche, revealing the beautiful metal finish beneath the pattern, and then plated in a brass or nickel finish.

Craftsmanship
Guilloche is highly precise engraving, creating repetitive patterns through engine turning. Seen on timepieces, fine jewelry and vintage race cars, the method allows artisans to intricately etch brass and plate it without loss of refined detail. Rarely seen today, it’s practiced by only a few master artisans around the world.
Translating Fine Art
Into Objects
An extensive search for our preferred artisans led us across the globe to a tiny family-owned studio outside Milan, where they perform guilloche on 18th century machines. Seeing the level of refinement it gave on our products was a defining moment. The methodology is time-honored and applying its craft to bath elements is entirely new. The craft is time—honored. Applying it to bath elements is entirely new.
“Bond's three series make the collection beautifully versatile. It's pioneering in the way it allows you to integrate new design details in a modern space.”
- Peter Sallick
